McAnally sentenced for possessing child sexual exploitation material

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Steven Mark McAnally, age 65, of Hugo, was sentenced to 63 months in prison for one count of possessing certain material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor. He will serve five years of supervised probation upon release from incarceration.

Teen pleads guilty to stealing firearms

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that J’Quarius J’Vontay Austin, age 18, of Idabel, Okla., entered a guilty plea to one count of stealing firearm from a federal firearms licensed dealer.

Early voting begins Thursday

Early voting for the April 1 municipal elections will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 28 at the Choctaw County Election office. The Election office is located on the first floor of the Choctaw County Courthouse, across from the Sheriff’s office.
