BOSWELL — Meeting in a special meeting on Tuesday, July 27, the Boswell town council voted to appoint Toni Pierce to fill the council seat recently vacated by councilor Russell Bartlett (resigned). Voting to appoint Pierce to the town council were Mayor Tricia Marshall and councilor Ola Mae Moore.

Choctaw County Ambulance Authority board members met July 8 and discussed a number of issues –– most pertaining to finances, new policies and vehicle-related matters. During the Operations and Finances portion of the meeting, Director Randy Springfield reported the CCAA had exhausted all of its funding from the federal government’s Paycheck Protection Program.
