HUGO –– The Southeast Oklahoma Library System (SEOLS) recently announced the naming of Bessi Black as the new Library Manager of the Choctaw County Public Library in Hugo. Black was previously employed with Texas Health and Human Services and brings 17 years of community involvement and customer service experience to her new position.

MUSKOGEE –– The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the federal grand jury sitting in Muskogee completed its May session last week and returned 82 felony indictments.

OKLAHOMA CITY –– The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced today it has identified a cluster of 17 recent cases of the B.1.617.2 variant, commonly referred to as the India variant, in the state. Of those, 13 confirmed cases were associated with Cleveland County. To date, a total of 18 cases of the B.1.617.2 variant have been identified in the state.
