Funeral services for Brian Kevin Hunter, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 19, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Brian passed away Aug. 14, 2024, at the age of 61.
Bryan Kevin Hunter was born on Oct. 17, 1962 in Hugo, the son of John Douglas Hunter and Virginia Mae (Walton) Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma Hunter; son, Kenneth Batchelor; brother, Douglas Keith Hunter and a granddaughter.
Bryan lived most of his life in Hugo and worked as a manager at Pizza Hut. He loved camping, hunting and fishing, canoeing and just being outdoors. He also loved animals. Bryan was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and help people any way he could. He loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Bryan is survived by his sons: Tommy Batchelor and wife of McAlester, Okla., and Jerry Batchelor of Paris, Texas; daughters: Sherri Smith and husband of Valliant, Okla., Jackie Teague of Soper, Okla., Amanda Shovanec and husband of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Terry Gage and husband of Paris, Texas; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and greatgreat-grandchildren; sisters: Theresa Garman of Hugo, Mavis Bastible of Valliant and Melanie Faith Priddy of Grant, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones, especially his friends at Elmbrook.
Bro. Leon Tims officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
