Graveside services for Carol Sue (Green) McDonald, of Valliant, Okla., were held March 25, 2025 at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Okla.

Carol Sue (Green) McDonald, 65, gained her heavenly wings on March 20, 2025. She was born on Oct. 5, 1959 in Mojave, Calif., the daughter of Robert Lee Green and Thelma Lee (Kensey) Green. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James “Jimmy” Raymond McDonald and her brother, David Green.

Carol was raised in Boron, Calif., and a 1977 graduate of Boron High School, later moving to Oklahoma when she turned 18. She married her husband, Jimmy McDonald on April 18, 1980 in Wright City and spent many happy years together before his passing.

Carol’s commitment to her community was evident through her dedicated service at EZ Mart, where she worked in Wright City, Valliant, and then Millerton for more than 30 years. Her colleagues and customers alike will remember her for her friendly demeanor and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued.

Carol’s interests and hobbies were a reflection of her loving and friendly nature. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as tending to her flower bed and yard, she was always on the hunt for yard art to add to her collection. She also enjoyed seeking treasures at yard sales, thrift stores, and antique shops.

She had an admirable collection of movies and the memories her sons have with their movie nights with their mom is something that they will cherish forever. Carol also raised Boston Terriers, sharing her nurturing spirit with her beloved pets. More than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and watching them play sports.

Carol will be deeply missed, but her warmth, her laughter, and her loving ways will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her loving family: sons: Tyson McDonald and wife of Valliant, Whit McDonald and wife of Mannford, Okla., and Wesley McDonald of Sapulpa, Okla.; eight grandchildren; sister, Belinda Little of Valliant, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
