Darrell Ray Brown

Funeral services for Darrell Ray Brown, of Boswell, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Jan. 8, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Boswell. Darrell passed away Jan. 3, 2025, at the age of 71.

Darrell Ray Brown was born on Aug. 24, 1953, the son of Gordon Brown and Juanita (Peyton) Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Brown and an uncle.

Darrell lived in Boswell all his life and graduated from Boswell High School, Class of 1972. He was a welder and worked in construction and enjoyed tradesman work. He was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation. Darrell enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to deer camp with his family and helping his kids. Most of all, Darrell loved spending time at family gatherings and being with his kids and grandkids. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those fortunate enough to have known him. Darrell is survived by his sons: Stacy Brown and wife of Boswell, Tracy Brown and wife of Boswell and Zachariah Brown of Mesquite, Texas; daughter, Carla Miller and husband of Boswell; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Lee Brown of Elk City, Okla., and sister, Sue Betancourt of Waxahachie, Texas, along with a host of other family friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Restland Cemetery with Bro. Jeff McCreary and Bro. Jim Gentry offciating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
