Joan Elaine (Hart) Huber
Memorial services for Joan Elaine (Hart) Huber will be held at 2 p.m. July 3, 2026 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Valliant.
Joan Elaine (Hart) Huber, 65, went to her heavenly home on June 28, 2026. She was born on Sept. 26, 1960 in Viernheim, Germany, the daughter of James V. Hart and Ann (Phillipa) Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Joan’s father was in the military, so she lived several places throughout her life until they settled in Lawton, Okla. She was a graduate of Lawton High School, Class of 1978. Joan later moved to McCurtain County in 1994 and is where she resided for the last 32 years.
Joan lived a life centered on family, kindness, and the simple joys that make a house feel like home. She loved getting the family together, especially on her favorite holidays, the 4th of July and Christmas. Joan liked to cook and loved to eat, so those holidays were perfect for sharing meals and creating memories around the table. She had a deep love for animals, she loved riding horses and would often take in strays, giving them a forever home. Joan also enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting, and painting in her younger years. Above all else, Joan had a gift for making people laugh, and her sense of humor brought lightness to many situations. Her laughter, warmth, and easygoing spirit made her a joy to be around, and her presence could brighten even the most difficult days. She treasured her family, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.
Joan is survived by her loving family; son, Raymond Huber and wife of Swink, Okla.; two grandchildren; sister, Tammy Hobbs and husband; several nieces and nephew; great-nieces and nephews: along with a host of special friends, other family and loved ones.
Services are under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
