Naomi Jeanne Moore

Services for Naomi Jeanne Moore, of Hugo, Okla., are under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Naomi passed away Jan. 31, 2025, at the age of 86.

Naomi Jeanne Moore was born on Jan. 16, 1939 in Fort Towson, Okla., the daughter of John Paul Moore, Sr. and Eva McAfee Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Moore; brother, Dr. John Paul Moore, Jr.; sisters: Nadine Clayton, and Mary Ellen Gusway and a niece.

Jeanne was the daughter of a pastor and loved the Lord above all things. She received her Doctorate degree and was employed as a Funeral Director for more than 55 years, working at more than 10,000 funerals throughout her career. Jeanne was a music director for various churches in the Dallas area and served as president over several ladies’ groups in the churches she attended. Jeanne played the piano, organ and anything else with keys and she also had the voice of an angel. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jeanne is survived by a host of church family, friends and loved ones.
