Graveside services for Teresa Wren were held Feb. 28, 2026 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell.

Teresa Wren was a one-of-a-kind woman whose strength, determination and love shaped every chapter of her life. Born with a fierce spirit and unwavering drive, Teresa never shied away from hard work or challenge –– especially in fields where few women dared to go. She paved her own path in male-dominated professions, holding positions that ranged from welder and corrections officer to oilfield pump truck driver. Teresa also worked for Campbell Soup, painted helicopters with precision, and even drove 18-wheelers from oil patch to oil patch. No job was ever too tough for her; when she set her sights on something, she went after it with courage and conviction.

While Teresa’s professional life was filled with grit and accomplishment, the role she cherished most was that of a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her children –– Cassie, Little Jim and Joshua –– were her greatest pride and joy, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter and the smell of a hot meal made with love. She was the kind of mother who, no matter how long or difficult her day had been, ensured her family felt safe, loved, and cared for. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her later years –– her universe, as she often said. Behind her tough exterior was a heart full of kindness and generosity. Teresa lived with passion and purpose, guided by her unshakable belief in hard work and loyalty. Her favorite expression, “Damn it, man,” captured her fiery personality and sense of humor something everyone who knew her will forever smile remembering.

Teresa is survived by her three children: Cassie Blackburn, Jimmy Trent, Jr., Joshua Trent; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters: Debbie Brainerd, Regina Trent; brother, David Shane Ply; mother, Francis Louise James.

Services were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
