Thomas Glen “Bub” Mock
Thomas Glen “Bub” Mock, age 86, of Boswell, Okla., passed away on Aug. 6, 2026, in Boswell, following a life well lived in the community he called home. He was born on Jan. 31, 1940 in Boswell, and spent his life rooted in the values of hard work, faith, and family. Thomas was known by many simply as “Bub,” a name that reflected the warmth, familiarity, and kindness he shared with everyone around him.
Bub served his country honorably in the United States Army and was discharged as an E-4 in 1965 at Fort Hood, Texas. After returning home, on Jan. 27, 1976, he married the love of his life, Mary Kaye Talley in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, and together they made their home in Boswell.
For 20 years, Bub worked as a carpenter for Little Dixie before retiring. Bub was a faithful Christian and a member of the Apostolic Jesus Name Church of Boswell. He also found great joy in the simple and meaningful things of life. Bub enjoyed working his cows and horses, and he took pride in having a big garden each year to share with family and friends. Bub is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Kaye (Talley) Mock of the home; one daughter, Apryl Nicole Mock of Atoka, Okla.; one son, Douglas Crawford of Boswell; one grandson and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Mock and Lula Degman; one son, Michael Lee Virden; a brother, Welton Mock; and three sisters: Billie Barnes, Sammie Jenkins and Nell Philpot.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026 in the Apostolic Jesus Name Church in Boswell, with burial following and Military Honors in the Restland Cemetery in Boswell.
Services were under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home.
