PATRIARCHAL (Genesis 1 - Exodus 20) from Creation to Moses There was no specific day of worship, no specific priesthood, no specific place of worship; there were animal sacrifices and no written law. Law, or rules for living, was spoken to fathers by God (Exodus 6:2-3) who passed it down to their descendants. There was a covenant/promises made (Genesis 12:1-3) of a nation –– Israel, a land –– the physical Israel, a seed –– Christ. These promises were kept. The scope of this age was the family.

City of Hugo places stop signs at Fifth and Bluff

The Hugo city council approved a motion last Tuesday to place stop signs at Fifth and Bluff Streets after residents spoke up with concerns about the safety of children in the area. The motion passed on a 3-2 vote, with Mayor Ernest McCarty and Darren Frazier voting against it, and councilmembers Tina Bunn, Juanita Latimore and Josh Armes voting in favor.
