More than 400 youth with disabilities are expected to start free summer training and employment programs offered in 24 rural and urban communities by Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services’ Transition program.

Attorney General Drummond is pushing back against a would-be rule by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) that would prevent law-abiding Americans from privately selling firearms without becoming federally licensed as a firearms dealer. Drummond is part of a 21-state lawsuit challenging the proposal in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.

FORT TOWSON –– The Fort Towson Historic Site will host a living history event to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the fort. The event will be held on May 18 from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Arraignment was scheduled for Matthew Wilson this week after he was bound over as charged on five felony complaints. According to court records, Wilson, who was arrested in January after being identified as a person of interest in the destruction of a local radio station’s tower for the purpose of stripping the copper and selling it, was charged with the following felony counts: 1.
