Urban grants now offered by Oklahoma Forestry Services

OKLAHOMA CITY – Urban and Community Forestry Grants will be available to Oklahoma communities again this year. The federal grants, administered by Oklahoma Forestry Services, are intended primarily to help communities and nonprofits develop local forestry plans, broaden urban forestry programs, and provide training opportunities.

September recognized as suicide prevention and recovery month

September is National Suicide Prevention and Recovery Month, and the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is encouraging Oklahomans to learn the warning signs of suicide and raise awareness of recovery options for those battling a substance use disorder.
