County man kills 6-year-old child, shoots mother then turns gun on himself

CHOCTAW COUNTY –– The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), at the request of the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office, is conducting an investigation into a homicide/shooting/ suicide incident. On Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at around 7:35 a.m., Choctaw County received 911 calls about a shooting that occurred along Highway 147, approximately six miles north of Highway 70, in Choctaw County. Witnesses observed a male, later identified as Spencer Laine Dillishaw, 22, shoot a female, later identified as Ragina Vargus Dillishaw (26 years old), and a 6-year-old boy, before turning the gun on himself.

One of these lucky ladies will be crowned Homecoming Queen at the Coronation beginning at 5:45 before the Fort Towson vs. Victory Life Basketball game, with tip off being at 6:30.

OMRF scientists find potential life-saving use for aspirin

The solution to a rare but debilitating and often fatal blood disease may be as close as your medicine cabinet, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation scientists have discovered. Researchers in the lab of OMRF scientist Lijun Xia, M.D., Ph.D., found that lowdosage aspirin could prevent acute attacks of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, or TTP, in mouse models.
