Antlers man convicted of aggravated sexual abuse

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Stetson Bruce, age 33, of Antlers, Okla., was found guilty by a Federal jury of two counts of aggravated sexual abuse in Indian Country.

Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), yesterday joined seven of his colleagues to introduce the “No Emergency Crude Oil for Foreign Adversaries Act” to ensure that reserves sold from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) are not exported to nations that are adversaries of the United States. Led by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Inhofe was joined in co-sponsoring the legislation by Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), James Lankford (R-Okla.), John Kennedy (R-La.) and Roger Marshall (R-Kan.).

OSU releases details studying wild turkey genetics

Provided by Oklahoma Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, Oklahoma State University Wild turkey genetics is among the areas of a 4.5-year study launched at the beginning of 2022 by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and the Oklahoma Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit to address wild turkey population dynamics and brood survival. After temperatures hitting 110 degrees early in the week, about the only cooling trend we are going to see is 101 degrees by Thursday but 104 this weekend. Lots of sunshine ahead and the only chance of rain looks to be if one of those isolated nocturnal thunderstorms pops up some night late in the week. I would not be surprised if we hit 100 every afternoon for the remainder of July.
