Jordan Holman named to UA Little Rock Spring Dean’s List!

LITTLE ROCK — Former Hugo High School scholar and standout athlete Jordan Holman has been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2024 Semester at the University of Arkansas - Little Rock. To be on the Dean’s List, UA Little Rock students must earn at least nine credit hours and maintain at least a 3.5 GPA.

Officials with the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, Visit OKC and USA Softball are preparing to welcome visitors to the “Softball Capital of the World” to enjoy the week’s events.

Squirrel season opened May 15

OKLAHOMA CITY – Southeast Oklahoma squirrel hunters were headed for the woods last week as the state’s annual squirrel season opened May 15 until the end of the year. Oklahoma has two species of squirrels that are legal to hunt: the eastern fox squirrel and the eastern gray squirrel, according to Oklahoma Wildlife officials.

Buffs close baseball season at Regionals

METRO CHRISTIAN — The Hugo Buffaloes closed out their 2024 spring baseball season with one win and a pair of losses at the Regional Tournament in Tulsa. Hugo battled Lincoln Christian to an 0-0 draw through two innings on Wednesday, before the Bulldogs put up four runs in the third against a pair for Hugo.
