Mildred Natalie (Hines) Webber, of Soper, Okla., passed away Feb. 22, 2025, at the age of 88.

Graveside services for Herman Stewart, Jr., of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Crosley Cemetery in Hugo.

Charles Dean “Charlie” Pierce, 100, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025 in Lafayette, after a brief illness. Charlie was born Jan. 20, 1925 in Hugo, Okla., and turned 100 years old, six days before his death. He was a long-time resident of Lafayette. Charlie was a petroleum geologist and was still “sliding logs” up until two weeks before his death. Charlie worked in the entertainment business when the oil industry was in a slump in the late ‘80s.

Mary Evelina Rossi Snodgrass, a beacon of joy and grace, passed away peacefully on Feb. 21, 2025 in Bryan, Texas, at the age of 100. Born on Jan. 18, 1925 in Stuart, Fla., Mary Evelina, known affectionately to friends and family as Evelina, led a life as vibrant and daring as her performances in the circus ring.
