VALEDICTORIAN: ZACHARY COVINGTON is the son of Bryan Covington of Hugo and Natasha Kinslow of Fort Towson. His grandparents are Robert and Naoma Kinslow of Fort Towson and Lynn and Margaret Covington of Hugo. Zachary is involved in NHS, FCCLA, SEOSU Honor Program, basketball for two years, baseball for one year, 4-H, Boys and Girls Club of Fort Towson staff, placed second place in State for Algebra 1, third place in State for Business Math. He has chosen to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University and major in chemistry. His future plans and goals are to attend Oklahoma State University and graduate with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

Hugo School approves new teacher employment

The Hugo board of education met in regular session on May 3. In their reports to the board, the principals outlined our end-of-year activities. High School Baccalaureate will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 16 at the First Christian Church. High School Graduation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at the football stadium.
