What is the Oklahoma Living Choice program?

The Oklahoma Living Choice Program assists Oklahomans wanting to transition out of a nursing home and back into a residence of their own. To date, the program has helped transition more than 800 residents back into their communities and have saved the state nearly $8.5 million in rebalancing funds.

CareerTech, vet med association partner to teach vet assistants

A new Oklahoma CareerTech certification exam will help veterinary assistants show they have the skills they need to care for the state’s animal population. CareerTech is working with the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association to offer veterinary assistant certification for individuals completing the OVMA Certified Veterinary Assistant Program.

Winners were: First-Mario Bradford, second-GuGu Cavalini, and third-Jacee Lusk and Taylor McKnight. Right: Youth Costume Contest at the Fall Fest Saturday sponsor was Ed Wallace Ford. Presenting the awards were Hocus Pocus witches Winifred Winnie’ Sanderson and Sarah Sanderson. First-Jentri Rivera and Kolsyn Davidson, second-Amelie Escobar, and third-Jano Escobar. Ed Wallace Ford sponsored the Best Decorated Box Car that went to Jentri Rivera and Kolsyn Davidson. The Sanderson Witches were again present.
