OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry recently announced the five winners of the third annual Oklahoma Farm to School Garden Contest. The contest, sponsored by the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Team, was open to all public or private PK-12 schools, early childhood education facilities and alternative learning environments.

Eastern Oklahoma State College hosted a gathering on Sept. 17 aimed at advancing educational initiatives in the forestry sector, addressing the increasing demand for skilled professionals in southeastern Oklahoma and surrounding regions. The event was held at the Southeastern Oklahoma State University McCurtain County Campus, a facility it shares with EOSC.

Pick up your halloween pumpkin at the Pumpkin Patch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at the historic Wilson House lawn, located at the corner of N. Main and Cincinnati in Fort Towson.
