Funeral services for Michael Ken Cooper, of Hugo, Okla., were held Aug. 17, 2026 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Michael passed away Aug. 12, 2026, at the age of 65.

Michael Ken Cooper was born on Nov. 23, 1960 in Idabel, Okla., the son of Quorter Main Cooper and Mary Ruth (Anderson) Cooper.

Ken grew up in Swink, Okla., and was a proud graduate of Hugo High School, Class of 1979. During his senior year of high school, he joined the Army National Guard, beginning a lifelong pattern of service, responsibility, and dedication. After graduation, he continued to build his skills and knowledge by attending Tulsa Welding School and later Sooner College, where he pursued the training needed to become an electrician. Ken later married the love of his life, Rhonda Lloyd, on March 9, 1983 in Durant, Okla. Ken’s working life reflected his strong work ethic and his willingness to take on whatever came his way. He later owned and operated a radiator shop in Hugo known as C&C Radiator Services, where he applied his hands-on abilities and practical know-how to serve his community. He most recently spent the last 12 years working as a truck driver for DOT Foods of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Ken truly lived a life marked by hard work. Outside of work, Ken found joy in the simple pleasures of life and in the beauty of the world around him. He loved the outdoors; especially hunting and fishing at Coop’s Hideout in Swink. Camping, riding four-wheelers, and spending time outside with his favorite dog were some of the things he truly enjoyed. He also had a soft spot for his grandchildren, whom he loved to spoil every chance he had.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Rhonda Cooper; son, Michael Cooper and wife of Durant; daughter, Chanda Cooper of Durant; five grandchildren; parents, Quorter and Mary Cooper of Hugo; sisters: Jama Moss and husband, Terri Cooper and Marsha Moore and husband, all of Hugo: his beloved dog; along with a host of many other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Springs Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Doug McClure officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
