Sandra Lometa Scott

Graveside services for Sandra Lometa Scott, of Boswell, Okla., were held at 10 a.m.

Dec. 5, 2024 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell. Sandra passed away Dec. 2, 2024, at the age of 87.

Sandra Lometa Scott was born on Jan.

29, 1937 in Boswell, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris “Johnny” Scott; mother, Nora Duncan Stingley and father, William Stingley. Lometa was a lifelong resident of Boswell.

She worked as a telephone operator and later at the Wells Lamont glove factory in Hugo, Okla. Lometa taught Sunday School at Boswell First Baptist Church and operated a home daycare for more than 30 years.

She loved her family and was affectionately known as Gram. Lometa loved tending to her cattle and enjoyed being outdoors. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lometa is survived by sons: Paul Scott and wife of Boswell and Joe Bill Scott and wife of Stratford, Okla.; daughter, Rachel Lynn Evans of Chelsea, Okla.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, along with a host of friends and loved ones.

Bro. Steve Buchanan officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
