A number of Hugo athletes have hit the road on the weekends to travel to camps and tournaments, keeping their stamina high and improving their skills in between seasons.

The firing resulted from an altercation between Akins and two high school students after a basketball game in February, which was caught on camera and witnessed by multiple students and school officials.
