Buffaloes manhandle Valliant, 47-21

Body VALLIANT — Hugo earned its first home win of the season Thursday night, beating Valliant 47-21 on homecoming. Even though the Bulldogs were one of the easier games left on Hugo’s schedule, the win was important for a few reasons.

Body WILBURTON — In a wild game that included questionable penalties and a good deal of animosity, Hugo put up a season-high 37 points to beat Wilburton last Friday night.

Rattan falls to Dale Pirates at State

Body DOLESE PARK — The 2021 Rattan RAMS battled their way into the State playoffs once again, but drew one of the state’s top-rated teams in the first round, the Dale Pirates. The RAMS scattered 13 hits throughout the contest, but couldn’t push runner across the plate.

Body EDMOND — The Boswell Scorpions battled one of Oklahoma’s top class B baseball teams Thursday, but came up on the short end of a 10-3 decision. The Scorpions got off to an exciting start as lead-off batter Jesse Gardner walked, but was picked off trying to steal second.

Rattan RAMS headed for STATE!

Body The Rattan RAMS are again headed to the Oklahoma Class A baseball State playoffs. They earned the trip by being named co-Regional Champions after defeating Latta, losing a close 8-6 game to the Red Oak Eagles, and then defeating Latta, 7-6 in a tight thriller.
