The Iris Garden Club of Hugo held its annual open meeting on March 23 at ACE Hardware in downtown Hugo. ACE has graciously hosted the meeting for several years.

Hugo Public Schools is a 2026 Casey’s Cash for Classrooms grant recipient. The school will receive $27,500 to resurface the HHS tennis courts. This project will help Hugo High School to create a safe, functional and durable playing surface that supports physical and educational programs as well as extracurricular activities by making lifelong habits of fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship possible.

HUGO –– A teacher at Hugo Public School has been placed on administrative leave after alleged allegations of misconduct with a student. According to local law enforcement, the case has been sent to the FBI for further investigation.
