OMAHA, Neb. — An Oklahoma Sooner baseball team who few in the baseball world believed in or respected, pulled together one of the most amazing end-of-season runs, to garner the 2026 College World Series National Championship with a solid victory over favored North Carolina in a 13-2 slam.

Contributing Writer SOPER — The Soper Red Bears found a true diamond in the circle this past year with sophomore pitcher Abby Johnson, who recently earned PNTY All-State honors. During the fall fast pitch season, Johnson was a dominant force, starting 17 games and surrendering a mere 20 combined earned runs while racking up 68 strikeouts.

Contributing Writer BOSWELL — Boswell’s Tracer Rutledge earned a spot on the Prep Nation All-State team this past season. The sophomore put up dominant numbers across the 10 games he pitched this spring, striking out 81 batters while surrendering a mere 23 hits and 12 earned runs. Active in both the fall and spring seasons, Rutledge maintains a perfect regular-season record in a Scorpion uniform.

More Hardware for Soper’s Super Soph Contributing Writer Soper’s very own Kabrey Harless has been crowned the Prep Nation 2026 Softball Player of the Year. Having just wrapped up her stellar sophomore season playing both spring and fall ball, Harless has remarkably secured an All-State selection in each of those four consecutive seasons.
