Contributing Writer With the gymnasium packed, the Boswell Scorpions may have started the season with the “game of the year” as they came from behind to beat Tushka, 78-74 in a thriller. With senior point guard Daxter Thomas battling an injury and playing sparingly, the Scorpions struggled in the first quarter.

Hugo News Sports The Buffaloes’ regular season came to an impressive close in Prague Friday night, where Hugo beat the Red Devils 35-0 to advance to the first round of the playoffs. The Buffs took charge of the game early, with junior quarterback Jayka Santillan finding senior receiver Quincy Shelton on the far side of the field for a touchdown to start the game.

Kingston powers over Hugo, 48-6

Hugo News Sports KINGSTON — The Kingston Redskins demonstrated why they are undefeated in District football play Friday night when they hosted the Hugo Buffaloes and rolled to a 48-6 win. Although the Buffaloes opened the game with an impressive drive to the Redskins’ 21-yard line, they would be shutout in all but one drive in the second quarter.
ZAVEN SINIGA has impressed Hugo Buffalo coaches and fans throughout the 2025 football season and has led the defense almost every week in tackles, always in double figures.
