Funeral services for Thomas Harrison Pike, of Garvin, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Tom Pike, 71, went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2022 while in the hospital in Paris, where he was being treated for pneumonia.

After a calm period at the start of the year in which the land market remained steady, sales prices took another jump up as a result of the outbreak of war in Ukraine and ongoing inflation fears. Farmers saw stronger commodity prices and investors wanted a low-risk inflation hedging investment, which together propelled the competition for good cropland.

OMRF study finds new clues to diagnose MS relapse

New findings from the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation may give doctors more certainty when diagnosing multiple sclerosis relapse in patients. Someday, said OMRF scientist Bob Axtell, Ph.D., who led the study, the results could help detect a relapse sooner or perhaps even prevent it.
