The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) presented the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Housing Authority (HACNO) Connect Home program with the Trailblazer Award at its annual ConnectHomeUSA Summit. • There is no public health threat associated with the cases at this time OKLAHOMA CITY –– With the ongoing measles outbreak in Texas and New Mexico, the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) has been on high alert, monitoring the situation in Oklahoma. Last Tuesday, the OSDH is reporting two measles cases in the state.

Aging is something everyone has thought about at some point in their life. But what we all try not to think about is aging to the point we cannot care for ourselves. Those who are unable to care for themselves usually end up in the nursing home.

• Legendary band to perform hits “Elvira,” “Bobbie Sue,” and “Dream On” The Oak Ridge Boys are coming to Stage 271 inside Choctaw Casino & Resort – Grant on Saturday, April 26. The legendary band has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Gospel Hall of Fame and Vocal Group Hall of Fame, as well as being inducted into the Grand Old Opry.

The Iris Garden Club met on Feb. 24 at Burnside Community room. President Harolynn Wofford called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone. Wofford and Shondell Rothmire were hostesses. The group recited the Gardener’s Creed and Rick Lowrance led in prayer.
