Funeral services for Albert Lee “A.L.” Cross, of Paris, Texas, were held Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 at The Saving Grace Ministries in Paris.
Albert Lee “A.L.” Cross, 87, went to his heavenly home on Dec. 3, 2025, passing at his residence in Paris, Texas. A.L. was born on Oct. 30, 1938 in Soper, Okla., the son of William Preston Cross and Ella Edna (Stilwell) Cross. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Charles Cross and wife and James Cross.
A.L. married his loving wife, Roxanna (Vickers) Cross on May 31, 1975 in Hugo. Together they lived mostly in southeastern Oklahoma and northeast Texas; finally settling in Paris, Texas, in 2017.
A.L. was truly a Jack of all trades –– he worked in several different industries throughout the years such as construction and carpentry. He was known for his friendly face and his remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met, not only in his professional career, but also in his everyday life. A.L. never met a stranger, his ability to engage with people from all walks of life was one of his most memorable traits. Friends and acquaintances alike will remember him for his genuine interest in their stories and his talent for making everyone feel like they mattered. A.L.’s life truly was centered around his faith and family. He was an active and devoted member of The Saving Grace Ministries Church and truly enjoyed getting to fellowship with his church family. A.L. was also a devoted husband, father and grandfather; family was his pride and joy. He instilled in them the values of kindness, generosity, and faith, which is his lasting legacy, and those values will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
A.L. is survived by his loving family: wife, Roxanna Cross of the home; son, Joe Howard Cross of Paris, Texas; daughter, Donna Faye Berenguer of Sherman, Texas; three grandchildren and their mother of Bonham, Texas; grandchild and great-granddaughter of Denison, Texas; and grandchild of Sherman, Texas; two sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, several great-nieces and nephews, and many other friends too numerous to mention.
Gravesite services were held Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
