Arnold Prater
Arnold Prater passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026 in Denison, Texas, at the age of 72. Born on Nov. 6, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Arnold’s journey began in the heartland of Oklahoma, where he grew up surrounded by the love and camaraderie of a large family. He is survived by his devoted wife, LuAnna Prater, who shared in his love for the simple pleasures of home; his brothers: Orvel Prater and Chester Prater; two sisters: Lou Halkum and Genell Pierce. Arnold’s legacy continues through his step-children: Dan Frey and Beth Thompson; his 10 grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimalee Prater and Estell (Walker) Prater; and his brothers: Duegan Prater, Derril Prater and Merril Prater.
