Charlotte Ann Sadler
Charlotte Ann Sadler passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on June 22, 1932 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of Carl and Irene (Payne) Holton. Ann’s life was filled with the love of family and the joy of friendship. Her final years were spent in Sachse, Texas, surrounded by the warmth and care of her family.
After high school, Ann attended OCW (Oklahoma College for Women) and earned her secretarial degree. She married Robert Charles Sadler in 1952. They lived in Killeen, Texas, where he served in the Army. From there they moved to Okmulgee where she was employed by a law office. It was there that they started their family, and Ann became a fulltime homemaker. In 1957, they moved to north Texas where Robert was employed by Collins Radio Company. They remained in the area and raised their daughters: Diana, Marcia and Missy.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald Holton; her sister, Helon Ruth Childers and her husband, Robert.
Ann is survived by Diana and Johnny Thrash, Marcia and Mike Shost and Missy Martin. She has seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ann and Robert and their daughters attended First Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas, where she played piano and helped in children’s Sunday School, then was active in her adult Sunday School class. Ann and Robert had many happy vacations in the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico. She was dominant in Upwards, Scrabble and enjoyed many other games with family and friends. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories and pictures shared by her family.
Family and friends will be gathering for a remembrance at her graveside at 1 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
