Dorothy Griffith

Dorothy Griffith, of Idabel, Okla., passed away Jan. 6, 2026, at the age of 66.

Dorothy Griffith was born on Jan. 26, 1959 in Fitzgerald, Ga., the daughter of Ned and Evelyn (Neighbors) Griffith. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Ann “Sissy” McClure and brother, Jimmy Griffith.

Dorothy grew up and spent most of her adult life in Georgia. She later moved to the Valliant area to be closer to her family. Dorothy’s love for her family was immeasurable. She was a devoted daughter, mother, sister and aunt. Dorothy’s world revolved around her daughter and she was especially close to her nieces and nephews, with whom she shared countless cherished moments. A woman of many words, Dorothy never hesitated to express her thoughts and feelings. She was authentically herself and her memory will live in the hearts of her loved ones. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kerynda Skye Baker of Valliant; sisters: Virginia Griffith of Eastman, Ga., and Denise Terry and husband of Valliant; several nieces and nephews, whom she thought the world of, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
