Gina Lynne (Lofton) Hricko
Funeral services for Gina Lynne (Lofton) Hricko, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 20, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Gina passed away Nov. 16, 2024, at the age of 59.
Gina Lynne (Lofton) Hricko was born on Oct. 30, 1965 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Leonard Lofton and Lois (Burton) Lofton. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Lynn Lofton.
Gina had been a resident of Hugo for the past 25 years and was a graduate of Cushing High School, Class of 1984. After high school Gina went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Services and Sign Language Interpretation. She led a rewarding career as a caregiver and activities director at Baptist Village and Homestead of Hugo and enjoyed caring for people. She was also an interpreter at the Lufkin School for the Deaf. More recently, Gina worked at The River at Choctaw Casino & Resort. Gina married the love of her life, Philip, on June 17, 1984 in Nacogdoches, Texas, and together they lived a wonderful life raising their children.
Gina loved NASCAR and watching Jeff Gordon and his team and went with her family to the Texas Motor Speedway twice a year to watch the races. She was also passionate about the paranormal and traveled all over the country ghost hunting, visiting famous haunted places like Waverly Hills and Stanley Hotel. Gina also enjoyed riding with Philip on his motorcycle and loved anything to do with cats. Above all else, Gina loved her family fiercely and her kids and grandkids were the most important people in her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Gina is survived by her mother, Lois Lofton of Hugo; husband, Philip Hricko of the home; daughter, Whitney Hanna and husband, Matthew of Durant, Okla.; son, John Christpher Philip Hricko and wife, Denise of Hugo; grandchildren: Markis and wife, Britney, McKensie and fiance, John Michael Carpenter, Matthew and Milo; great-grandchildren: Zander, Landon, Westen and Carrisa; sisters: Susie Hricko and husband, Kenneth and Geneva Perkins; brother, Lyndol “Bubba” Dewayne Lofton and wife, Judy and special nephews: Tanner Compton and Aidan Hricko, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Interment followed the service at Goodland Cemetery with Bro. Luther Roden officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
