John Lafayette Mangrum

Graveside services for John Lafayette Mangrum will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 19, 2020 at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister, Okla. John passed away Aug. 11, 2018 at Flagpole Mountain in Clayton, Okla., at the age of 77.

John Lafayette Mangrum was born on April 27, 1941 to James and Alma T. (Lord) Mangrum. He was preceded in death by his parents.

John had lived in the Hugo area since 1976 and worked as a general laborer. He enjoyed piddling around and working on small engines. John loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

John is survived by his sons: Johnny Mangrum of Hugo, Okla., Sammy Mangrum of Coalgate, Okla., and Tommy Mangrum of Hugo; daughter, Teresa Carter of Sallisaw, Okla.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many other friends and loved ones.

Family will officate the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
