Norma (Lawless) Harkins, of Hugo, Okla., passed away Feb. 28, 2026, at the age of 82.

Norma (Lawless) Harkins was born on Jan. 28, 1944, the daughter of Grady Lawless and Mamie (Williams) Lawless. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Wayne Harkins; brother, Eugene Lawless and sister, Shirley Grimmett.

Norma was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and worked for many years at the Corner Store in Fort Towson. Norma greeted everyone she met with a smile and kindness. She loved to visit and catch up with all of her customers and friends. In her younger years, Norma enjoyed driving back roads and taking care of her yard. She enjoyed mowing her lawn with a push mower and was so meticulous that she preferred using scissors over clippers for trimming. When she moved to her apartment in Hugo, she was always there for her neighbors, watching out for them or helping take care of them when necessary. Norma loved her family beyond measure but above all things she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Sheila Kaye Greer and husband of Hugo and Tammy Lynn Gregory and husband of Caney, Okla.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Arvella Courtwright and husband of Sobol, Okla., along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Private family services are to be held with interment at Sobol Cemetery, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
