Norma Lee (Stillwell) Holley

Norma Lee (Stillwell) Holley of Soper, Okla., passed into eternity on Friday, May 8, 2026 in Paris, Texas, at the age of 85. She was born to Albert Frederick “Tice” Stillwell and Betty Lafayette “Fay” (Wharton) Stillwell on Jan. 30, 1941 in Soper, and lived in the area most of her life. Norma graduated from Soper High School in 1959.

She and Bob Holley were joined in marriage on April 2, 1977, and they made their home on their ranch near Nelson.

Although employed in administrative clerical work, her true talents and gifts were outside the office. A very talented artist, she created beautiful oil paintings for us all to enjoy. She was also a gifted instructor, offering classes to others who desired to learn the art of oil painting. She made an art of homemaking, enjoying gardening and decorating her home. She truly loved planning, cooking and baking for family gatherings, especially during the holidays. A Southern Baptist, Norma belonged to the First Baptist Church of Soper.

Norma is survived by her husband, Bob Holley of their home; daughter, Cindy (Hodges) Caraway of Glencoe, Okla.; son, John Hodges of Soper; daughter, Kari (Hodges) Hammons of Norman, Okla.; and brother, Joe Stillwell of Soper.

She was also the beloved grandmother of eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Tice and Faye Stillwell; sisters: Wilma Truesdell, Juanita Keller and Mae Dean Wright; brothers: Wilburn Stillwell and J.B. Stillwell; a great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Norma was laid to rest on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at a graveside service in Sugar Creek Cemetery north of Soper.

The Holley Family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey of Hugo.
