Ophelia Marie Foster Graham

Ophelia Marie Foster Graham, affectionately known as Mie, passed away on Sept. 12, 2024, at the age of 67 in Shawnee, Kan.

She was born on July 31, 1957 to Alec and Bonnie Hare, her mom and dad. Mie dedicated many years caring for others as a nursing assistant, a role she performed with compassion and dedication, until her health no longer allowed her to continue.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Thatcher’s Funeral Home, 1520 N. Fifth St. in Kansas City, Kan. Mie’s kindness and selfless spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Hare and father, Alex Hare; daughter, Bobbie Joe and brothers: Kenneth and Charles Hare of Hugo. Ophelia leaves to cherish her younger brother, Cecil; sisters: Gloria Hare of Hugo and Clara Hare of Idabel, Okla.; Mie’s son and daughter: Dale and Lisa Graham; grandchildren: Delissa Robinson, Robert and cousins, family, too.

And last, Ella Gardner, Mie’s favorite cousin who she truly considered a real life sister.

Mie always loved talking about living on the farm as kids. Mie truly loved her whole family, including her nieces and nephews, too.
