Sandra Lee (Taylor) Colgin, 78, went to her heavenly home on Feb. 28, 2026, passing in Paris, Texas. She was born on March 28, 1947 in Saginaw, Mich., the daughter of Wilfred Eugene Taylor and Esther Eleanora Frida (Bashans) Taylor. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Taylor; sister, Bonnie Bell; and one grandson.

Sandy grew up in Michigan and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw. She later went to work for Saginaw Public Schools, where she was a bus driver for more than 20 years. Sandy later moved to California and that is where she met her loving husband, Donald “Don” Colgin. They were married on April 20, 1991 and they made their home there in California. Together they made many memories there and enjoyed all California had to offer. They loved being outdoors; going scuba diving and shark fishing. They later moved to Hugo, Okla., in 2005 and they have resided there for the last 21 years. Sandy was a woman of faith and was a member of the Unity Baptist, where she attended with her husband, Don.

Sandy was a woman of many hobbies, however her favorite activity was going to the casino in Grant. She loved visiting with people, and she made many lifelong friends there, who she thought of as family. Family was something Sandy took great pride in and spending time with them was one of her greatest blessings. Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.
