SGT. Landon Samuel Lowrance
SGT. Landon Samuel Lowrance, age 22, of Fairbanks, Alaska, passed away on Sept. 16, 2026. He was born on Aug. 25, 2004, in Durant, Okla., and lived a life marked by courage, optimism, and a spirit of adventure that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Landon grew up in Frogville, Okla., where he spent his childhood surrounded by family, faith, and the simple joys of country life. He carried with him a deep love for the outdoors and found happiness in duck hunting, hog and deer hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He also enjoyed drawing and had a lifelong appreciation for competition and teamwork, especially in football, baseball, hockey, basketball and slow-pitch softball. Whether he was in the field, on the water, or cheering on a game, Landon approached life with enthusiasm and determination.
He graduated from Valliant High School as a member of the Class of 2023, and he continued to build his life with the same steady resolve that defined him from an early age. Landon served his country with honor as a Sergeant in the United States Army, a role that reflected his strength, discipline, and commitment to something greater than himself. His service was a source of pride to his family and all who knew him.
Landon was a Christian, and his faith was an important part of his life. He lived with a quiet strength and a hopeful outlook that encouraged those around him.
He is survived by his father, Samuel Glenn Lowrance, Jr.; his mother, Autumn Faith Lowrance; his sister, Summer Grace Lowrance-Andrews and her husband of Frogville; and his niece. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, and his maternal grandparents.
