Timothy Junior “Tool Man” Hurlburt

Funeral services for Timothy Junior “Tool Man” Hurlburt, of Sawyer, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 9, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Messer, Okla. Timothy passed away Jan. 2, 2021, at the age of 53.

Timothy Junior “Tool Man” Hurlburt was born on May 29, 1968 in Dallas, Texas, to Lonzo and Lucinda (Peavler) Hurlburt. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Michael Hurlburt on Oct. 9, 1989 and his brother, Billy Hedrick.

Tim was a man who loved to laugh and make everyone around him laugh. He was larger than life and had a passion for life, his family and his friends whom he thought of as his family. Tim married Jennifer Church on March 20, 2004 in South Fork, Colo. She considered Tim her Superman and a rock to lean on. Tim was a handyman, farmer, mechanic, roofer and a truck driver. Many knew the “Timionary,” which consisted of the many words Tim was known to use while employed at Elite Construction.

Tim was a member of Spencerville Community Church where he gave his life to God and was baptized. He will live forever in the heart of all of the lives that Tim touched.

Tim is survived by his parents: Lonzo and Lucinda; his wife, Jennifer; son, Trenton Junior “TJ” Hurlbert; daughters: Samantha Shantell Marshall and husband, Dillion of Snow, Okla., Micaella Marie Church and significant other, Brennen Zamudio of Sherman, Texas, adopted daughter, Kansas Heady of Hugo, Okla.; grandchildren: Austin Cole Fennell and wife, Caitlin, Caleb Bradley Fennell, Jailynn Marie Fennell, Tymber Chyanne Fennell, Bostyn Reann Faye Marshall, Casen Thomas Doss Marshall, Alec Layne Zamudio and Keegan Heady; great-grandchild, Georgia Gail Fennell; brothers: Bobby Hedrick and wife, Janice of Corinne, Okla., Randy Owen Hurlburt and wife, Lisa of Rattan, Okla.; sister-in-law, Peggy Hedrick of South Dakota; sisters: Lucinda Charmienne Moody and husband, Joe of Haworth, Okla., and Candy Wickson and husband, Randall of Messer; nieces and nephews: Machelle Hunter, Bubba Smith, Kaitlyn Hedrick, Lanie Hedrick, April Hedrick, Tessa Hebert, Shaina Billy, Sharkey Billy, Damon Wickson, Maegan Churchwell, Ethan Wickson, Alex Pierce, Anthony Carter and Lexie Barnett, along with numerous greatnieces and nephews and a host of other family friends and loved ones.

Kasey Hudson and Pete Hurlburt officiated the servcies, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
