Betty Lue (Crews) Eagleberger was born on Dec. 25, 1927 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of John Samuel Crews and Ruby (Morris) Crews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Bill” Eagleberger; sisters: Wanda Diviney and Jearl Dean Johnson and brothers: Don Crews and Willie Leon Crews.

Agnes May (Bates) Daniels, age 70, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Paris, Texas. She was born Oct. 29, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of O.D. Clayton Bates and Catherine Elizabeth (Jobe) Bates. Agnes had a love for reading, often finding joy in getting lost in a good book. Her caring nature was evident through her many years of dedicated service as a Nurse’s Aide at Hills Nursing Home.

Jennifer Gillespie passed away on May 17, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 50. Born on Jan. 28, 1975 in Antlers, Okla., the daughter of Coy Wesley Harvey and Sarah Jean Sales. Jennifer’s warm spirit and thoughtful nature touched the lives of all who knew her.

Jason Zachry passed away on May 17, 2025 in Plano, Texas. Born on April 9, 1978 in Paris, Texas, Jason lived a life marked by adventure, a knack for fixing things, and a unique and interesting character that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Paula Sue Bounds, a cherished soul known for her adventurous spirit and selfless love, departed from this world on May 15, 2025, in her birthplace of Hugo, Okla. Born on Oct. 20, 1957 to the late Rita Sue Williams and Paul Basil Williams, Paula Sue spent her lifetime creating a legacy of warmth and giving in the very town that cradled her first breath. Known affectionately as Paula Sue, she embraced life with a vivaciousness that inspired all who knew her. Her journey alongside her late husband, John Knox Bounds, was one of partnership and devotion, a testament to enduring love. A loving foundation was built for her family, which includes her daughters: Kendra Mandrell, Kacy Baker and Caitlin Bounds; her stepchildren: Heather Bounds-Knox, Jordan Bounds and Sarah Bounds; as well as her brother, Jeffrey Williams, and sister, Trisha Wade. Paula Sue’s presence as a matriarch will be profoundly missed, but her influence will resonate through generations.

Beverly Gail Wisener, known affectionately to all as Beverly Gail, passed away at her home in Grant on May 8, 2025, at the age of 74. Born under the wide, hopeful skies of Wink, Texas, on Nov. 19, 1950, Beverly Gail made her debut into the world as the daughter of Leon and Mildred (Magby) Ridge.

Charlotte Ann Sadler passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on June 22, 1932 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of Carl and Irene (Payne) Holton. Ann’s life was filled with the love of family and the joy of friendship. Her final years were spent in Sachse, Texas, surrounded by the warmth and care of her family.

Ellen K. McDade passed away peacefully at her home on May 11, 2025, at the age of 99. Born on Aug. 25, 1925 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of W.P. Kizer and Maude (Snow) Kizer. Ellen lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her work, and her community.
