• Gene Blackwell’s work featured at Choctaw Cultural Center starting April 29 Choctaw citizen and wildlife photographer Gene Blackwell will debut his latest exhibition at the Choctaw Cultural Center this spring. The exhibition titled, Kowi Haiaka Ikwehpowo (Unspoiled Wilderness): Photography from the Round Bottom Ranch, opens Tuesday, April 29 and highlights the natural beauty of Choctaw Country through Blackwell’s lens.

Ron Perry, who represented District 5 of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) on the Tribal Council resigned his office April 1. The resignation took effect immediately.
