The Buffaloes are in the middle of a rare stretch where they have a full week between games, and it’s coming at the perfect time. After falling to Idabel, 47-35 last Tuesday, it’s clear Hugo isn’t in a rhythm yet.
The Lady Buffaloes fell to Idabel in their first meeting of the season Tuesday night. Idabel, the reigning state champions, got out to a fast start in the first quarter and the Buffaloes were never able to fully recover, losing 64-40.
A storied coaching career has led to coach Alan Cartwright being inducted into the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. Cartwright began coaching in 1995 and finished with a record of 681 wins and 333 losses.
Hugo News Sports The Lady Buffs are out to a 2-2 start one week into the season. Hugo started strong with a 69-29 win over Henryetta in the season opener at home last Tuesday before going 1-2 at the Madill Winter Classic at the end of the week.
Hugo News Sports One week into the season, Hugo has already been dealt three heartbreaking losses. In the season opener, Hugo fell to Henryetta 79-76 in overtime before traveling to the Madill Winter Classic where they dropped games to Durant (45-42) and Dickson (59-56).
