Body Contributing Writer SOPER — Soper’s softball team went to the State playoffs during the fall fast pitch season. As the District playoffs began, Soper sent a clear message that they expect to go back to State.

Body SHULL-BYWATERS PARK — The Hugo Buffaloes put six pitchers on the mound Monday against the DeQueen Leopards, giving up a modest five hits through five innings of play.

Cold weather chills Buffalo bats...

Body There’s nothing unusual about cold and rainy March and April weather, but the Hugo Buffaloes haven’t been able to get their bats out of the cold weather doldrums.
MALIKI GILLEAN has been one of the Hugo Buffaloes’ most prolific hitters in the current season. He is tied with Jayka Santillan (below) for slugging honors with two home runs for the Buffaloes. He also has a .280 batting average with a .486 OBP rating which leads the team.
