VALLIANT — There’s a different level of excitement and energy that Hugo coaches, players and fans show up with whenever playoffs begin, and that could be felt Friday night when Hugo took on Valliant in Districts.

VALLIANT — The road to state just got longer for the Lady Buffaloes after a 46-40 loss to Valliant in Districts Friday night. Despite beating the Bulldogs a few weeks ago in the regular season, Hugo wasn’t able to pull out an early victory that would’ve given them momentum going into regionals.

Hugo News Sports The Lady Buffaloes’ regular season came to a close Monday night with a 78-49 loss to Broken Bow at home on Senior Night. Broken Bow overwhelmed Hugo early, putting up 26 points to the Buffs’ 4 in the first quarter.

Recently recognized for their contributions to Fort Towson High School, both on and off the court, were: Destiny Chumley: played four years for the Lady Tigers’ softball team, two years for the Lady Tiger Basketball team and one year for the Tiger powerlifting team. Also a cheerleader for four years.
