OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has introduced SB1551, a measure aimed at safeguarding firearm suppressors manufactured within the state from federal regulations. SB 1551 provides that a firearm suppressor manufactured and remaining in Oklahoma shall not be subject to federal law or federal regulation.

The Buffaloes fell to Kingston, 50-33 on Saturday afternoon after a slow start. Hugo has a reputation for fighting its way back into games and pushing teams to compete until the final buzzer.

While the Buffs have shown great strides from the beginning of the season to now, one persistent problem has been their inability to play complete games. More often than not, Hugo’s games are tales of two halves. Against Kingston, the Lady Buffs put up just 10 points in the first half before their scoring picked up in the third quarter. They were able to score 27 in the final two quarters, but Kingston had already amassed such a lead that there wasn’t much chance of Hugo mounting a comeback.

Hugo News Sports HUGO — Last Friday night, things clicked for the Lady Buffaloes. After a string of tough losses against opponents from larger classes, Hugo broke their losing streak with a 59-49 homecoming win over Valliant.

Buffaloes dropped games to Valliant and the Oklahoma City Storm over the weekend after a round of illness and injury swept through the team. Hugo’s lineups were noticeably different when they fell to Valliant, 47-36 and OKC, 53-40 with numerous starters being limited to single digit minutes.

Hugo News Sports MADILL — The Hugo Buffaloes fell to Madill, 57-35 last week in a hard-fought game. Hugo was met with numerous challenges in Madill, beginning with multiple players sitting out due to injury and illness.

Hugo News Sports MADILL — Despite falling to Madill last Tuesday, the Lady Buffaloes showed signs of improvement. Hugo may not have come away with a victory, falling to the Wildcats 67-52, but they did showcase improved scoring that will help them going into the final games of the season.

On Friday night, Hugo took the court in front of their home crowd for the first time this season, and they did not disappoint, beating Broken Bow, 60-56. The Buffaloes spent the first half of the season at away games and in tournaments, and it was clear by the reception fans gave them that they were missed.

This weekend, the Lady Buffaloes were at home for the first time all season. Hugo took on Broken Bow on Friday night and Ada on Saturday afternoon, dropping both games.
