Oklahoma Health Care Authority launches AI chatbot to assist with SoonerCare members

The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) launched an AI system called SoonerGuide to quickly assist SoonerCare members with questions about eligibility, income guidelines and more. This system will improve SoonerCare members’ experience and help ease wait times that members are experiencing. The system will also free up valuable OHCA staff time to focus on more complex member needs and process eligibility verification more efficiently.

Kiamichi Tech graduates complete career training

Kiamichi Tech honored students who recently completed their career training with a graduation ceremony on May 12, at the Hugo campus. The ceremony included congratulatory remarks from Doug Hall, Kiamichi Tech Deputy Superintendent, a presentation of certificates and a special recognition of Kiamichi Tech distinguished graduates.

Kiamichi Tech recognizes Practical Nursing graduates

ANTLERS –– Seven Practical Nursing students graduated from Kiamichi Tech - Antlers on Thursday, May 7, 2026. According to the program director, Shelly Swalley, Practical Nursing graduates complete 1,508 hours of class time and clinical hours in 18 months and must pass a rigorous exam in order to graduate.
