Anthony “Tony” Rivers was born on July 25, 1975 in DeQueen, Ark. Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia (Melton) Roson.

Tony was a strong, generous man who never hesitated to help anyone in need. He always put others first. Tony grew up in Holly Creek where he attended school first through eighth grade. Tony then went to Broken Bow High School. After high school he worked locally a couple years then went off working on the road. During this time he met the love of his life in Oregon.

Tony has been with Nita since the summer of 1999. He was a hard worker and a true friend to all. Tony’s wife and kids were his life. He attended every game, school event and church activity the kids were involved in. Tony loved to coach his kid’s team and always gave that extra help to any kid who needed it. He had so many kids he thought of as family and tried to make it to their events as well. Tony was very strong in his faith and loved helping with the youth at church. He and his family have attended Watermill Free Will Baptist Church for 15 years.

Tony was very close to his church family. He wanted to make sure everyone he came in contact with knew the Lord. Tony worked at IP for 10 years and WFEC for five years. He made many great friends whom he respected and loved. Tony enjoyed hunting and camping with his family and friends.
