Billie Sue Songer-Duncan-Bacon

Billie Sue Songer-Duncan-Bacon, known as Billie to those who knew her best, departed this life on Jan. 11, 2025, at the age of 85 in Cameron, Texas. Born on June 20, 1939, in Hugo, Okla., she was a woman of great strength and tenderness, whose loving heart and gentle kindness left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of crossing her path.

The daughter of the late Lena Starnes and Luther Songer, Billie grew up in the community where she was born and carried with her the values of hard work and devotion to family. She dedicated many years of her life to housekeeping in Elder Care. Billie is survived by her daughter, Linda Kay Duncan-Harwell of Ada, Okla.; two granddaughters of Ada, Okla., and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, their son, and her second husband. As we bid farewell to Billie Sue Songer Duncan-Bacon, we celebrate a life welllived, and a life filled with love. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and her legacy will be cherished for generations to come. Billie’s journey on earth has concluded, but the echoes of her loving spirit will resonate forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
